(note: 1kg.= 2.2lbs. and 1ml = 1cc)

Always check with your vet if you have any questions!  If your ferret has a problem, call your vet as soon as possible. This is not a substitute for veterinary care. Your ferret may have a serious underlying illness.

Pepto Bismol Liquid 1cc per kg. of body weight every 8 hours
Pepto Bismol Chewable Tablets crush and mix 1 tablet with 3 cc of water, give .2cc of this mixture
Adult Kaopectate Liquid .2 ml per kg of body weight every 6 hours
Adult Kaopectate Caplet 1/4 to 1/8 caplet, crushed every 2-6 hours
Pepcid AC .2 ml per kg of body weight every 12-24 hours
(This should be administered by crushing a 10 mg tablet of Pepcid and mixing it with 10 cc of water. SHAKE WELL)
Immodium AD .05-.06 ml per kg of body weight 2 to 3 times a day
Carafate 1/8-1/4 tablet every 8-10 hours
Adult Liquid Benedryl .5 ml per kg of body weight every 8-12 hours
Children's Liquid Tylenol 1-2 drops

 

(Generic equivalents may be substituted as long as the ingredients are identical).
